parlons un peu de ce groupe magnifique (pas que le groupe d'ailleurs, Simoneuh )

Courte Biographie :

Après s'être fait évincé d'After Forever en Avril 2002, par son ami Sander (lead guitar, AF) le manager de Transmision records a demandé à Mark Jansen de démarrer un second groupe. Il s'entourre alors d'Helena Irena Michaelsen et d'autres musiciens (Ad Sluijter, Ivan Heindricx, Coen Jansen), a cette époque le groupe s'appelait Sahara Dust... Peu après, il vire la chanteuse pour la remplacer par sa petite amie (si, si), la belle Simone Simons . Le groupe, peu avant de sortir "The Phantom Agony" change alors son nom pour Epica, en honneur au groupe Kamelot qui est un des groupes préférés de Mark Jansen (le troisieme album de Kamelot s'appelle effectivement Epica).

j'essaierais de vous faire des captures d'écran des clips... par contre, leurs clips sont goths à fond et ne font pas dans le cliché (pour une fois) donc, vous serez prévenus...

bon, quelles nouvelles depuis le temps ?

bien, le groupe sortira en janvier prochain leur premier DVD Live filmé au grasspop 2005 plus quelques dates au brésil (en décembre).

le 21 avril dernier est sorti Consign To Oblivion dans lequel on peut entendre des influences death/black à la CoF.

enfin, le 15 septembre dernier est sorti An Epic Journey, album totalement instrumental servant de BO au film joyride.
