Sex and the City creator Darren Star is back to New York in this new dramedy pilot, about four female executives, friends since college, who support one another through the trials and tribulations of work, family, and everything else life in New York City throws at them.

The Break-Up Peyton Reed is going to direct this drama pilot. Maid in Manhattan writer Kevin Wade wrote the pilot and will executive produce alongside Star, Gail Katz and Star's producing partner Suzie Fitzgerald.

Kitchen Confidential's Bonnie Sommerville is set to join Ugly Betty's Lucy Liu, War of the Worlds Miranda Otto and The Importance of Being Earnest Frances O'Connor as the main four successful female executives on this drama series. Bonnie will play Caitlin Dowd, a senior VP for a cosmetic giant. Otto was originally cast as the cosmetics giant but has moved to a different part, Juliet Draper, the COO of a hotel chain. Meanwhile, Lucy Liu was booked as Dylan Mason, one of the quartet. Charmed Julian Ovenden will play Eric Burden, the husband of Zoe Burden played by Frances O'Connor. O'Connor's character is a top investment banker who is struggling to balance her roles as mother, wife and Wall Street whiz.

Private Practice is a spin-off of the highly popular ABC series, Grey's Anatomy starring Kate Walsh as Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery, a renowned neonatal surgeon. After deciding that she cannot continue to work at the same hospital as her ex-husband, Dr. Derek Shepherd, and her ex-lover, Dr. Mark Sloan, Addison packs her bags and heads off to Santa Monica to start a new life. She reunites with her newly divorced med school friends, Naomi (Merrin Dungey) and Sam (Taye Diggs), and joins them in their chic private practice.

The series, created by Shonda Rhimes, is produced by ABC Television Studio in collaboration with The Mark Gordon Company and Shondaland Productions.

It first aired as an episode of Grey's Anatomy. The episode, titled The Other Side Of This Life, was known as a backdoor pilot. It tested the idea of the show, but also shared the plot with Grey's Anatomy scenes weaving in and out, from which it was spun-off.

Justin Tolchuk (Dan Byrd, "The Hill Has Eyes") is a lanky, sensitive 16 year old trying to make it through high school in Medora, Wisconsin with help from his aspiring-entrepreneur Dad (Patrick Breen, "Kevin Hill"), his popular sister Claire (Lindsey Shaw, "Ned's Defied School Survival Guide"), and his loving mom, Franny (Amy Pietz, "Caroline in the City"). Franny signs up for the school's international exchange student program, and expects an athletic, brilliant Nordic teen to help her outsider son become cool, but instead, she receives a 16-year-old Pakistani Muslim student when he arrives. Despite their cultural differences Justin and Raja quickly befriend one another. The unlikely friendship may help the two navigate the minefield that is high school. It is going to be an interesting year for Raja, Justin, his family and the entire population of Medora.

Based on the popular book series of the same name, this drama gives viewers a peek into the world of privileged teenagers on an elite private school in New York City. The story is written by The O.C.'s Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and directed by Mark Piznarski who has worked on series like Everwood and Veronica Mars.

Surface's Leighton Meester and Accepted's Blake Lively have taken the lead roles in this drama series. They will play Blair and Serena respectively, rich Manhattan rivals at a private school in New York. The last additions to this new CW drama are Misconceptions Taylor Momsen, The Covenant's Chace Crawford and The Bedford Diaries's Penn Badgley. Their characters are Momsen as Jenny a 14 year-old and shy girl, Nate the good looking boyfriend of Blair, and Dan the secret admirer of Serena.

E-Ring's Kelly Rutherford and The Jury's Florencia Lozano have both been cast as the mothers of lead roles Serena and Blair. Rutherford will play the mother of Serena van der Woodsen (Lively's character), a former ballerina and rock groupie. Meanwhile Lozano was cast as Eleanor Waldorf the mother of Blair Waldorf (Meester's character). World Trade Center's Conner Paolo has been cast as Serena's brother, Eric van der Woodsen, Afterlife's Ed Westwick has been cast as Chuck Bass, and Brothers and Sisters' Matthew Settle has been cast as Jenny and Dan's father, Rufus Humphrey.

Throughout Sam's life, he always wondered why his Mom (Allison Hossack, "Falcon Beach") and his dad (Andrew Airlie, "The L Word") was so easy on him whether it was sports, school, or career choices and hard on his brother, Keith (Kyle Switzer, "15/Love") to succeed. Because of it, Sam decides to drop out of college, and takes a dead beat job, waisting most of his time playing video games, wishing he could ask his co-worker Andi (Nikki Reed, "The O.C.") out. Everything changes in Sam's life once he turns 21 and finds out the reason his parents let him get over was because they sold his soul to the devil before he was born. Satan (Ray Wise, "24") explains to Sam that he must serve as his bounty hunter, tracking down souls that have escaped from Hell. Initially Sam refuses to accept his fate but he realizes the grave consequences of breaking a deal with the devil. He is armed with various vessels (i.e. a Dirt mini-vacuum machine) to collect the escapees. Sam finds that the work is dangerous and frightening even with the goof ball help of his friends and fellow slackers, Bert "Sock" Wysocki (Tyler Labine, "Boston Legal"), Ben (Rick Gonzalez, "Coach Carter"), and Sock's former girlfriend, Josie (Valarie Rae Miller, "Dark Angel"). As bizarre as his life becomes, Sam feels good about his new found "missions", removing evil souls from the world and sending them back to where they belong. Along with his friends and his vessel of the week, Sam prepares to face his destiny as the "Reaper".

Amy Sherman-Palladino, creator of Gilmore Girls, brings us this multi-camera comedy about how two estranged sisters who are polar opposites try to raise a baby together.

Boston Legal's Parker Posey was cast in the lead role in this comedy pilot as Sarah Tomkins. Sarah is an intelligent, optimistic and determined woman who has it all. She's a successful editor of children's books with a very helpful assistant Buddy (The Good Shepherd's Michael Arden) who keeps her life together. Also she has a steady, no-strings-attached relationship with businessman Marcus Sonti (Gilmore Girls's Scott Cohen) a confirmed bachelor. Also Oz Dana Ivey will star as Molly an unspecified character on the series.

At the same time Sarah's father, Ronald(Trump Unauthorized Ron McLarty) always reminds her that although she has the perfect job and boyfriend, something is missing in her life. When Sarah comes home from work she feels alone and she is also not getting any younger, so she decides to get pregnant. But the doctor soon tells her that she cannot have children, so Sarah begins an alternate plan. When she can't find anyone she can count on to have the baby for her, she turns to her estranged sister Coco (Six Feet Under's Lauren Ambrose). Coco refuses at first, but when Sarah mentions that she has turned Jezebel James, Coco's imaginary childhood friend, into a story book, Coco begins to take her sister's idea more seriously. Coco thinks about her current living status on her friend's couch and decides to go ahead with her sister's plan.

Sherman-Palladino will also serve as director and executive producer on the show, which is being produced by Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions and Regency Television. FOX has order 13 episodes of this comedy series first season, and it will premiere on Spring 2008.

Sinon je suis curieuse de voir la nouvelle série des Palladino mais pour le reste, j'attend toujours les premières critiques avant de m'interesser à telle ou telle série

A première vu, "Pushing Daisies " a l'air très chouette. Je tenterai surement "The Sarah Connor chronicles" pour Summer Glau, et la sitcom avec Lauren Ambrose.

Pour les autres, je verrais en fonction des critiques.

Moi Pushing Daisies ne me botte pas du tout a priori, le sujet me parait un peu réchauffé (on a déjà eu Tru Calling et Dead like me dans le registre fantastique de la mort, ça va hein ...)

En fait à part les 2 séries qui ressemblent à SATC, y'a rien qui m'intéresse

apparemment Jason Dohring rejoindrai le cast de Moonlight sur CBS.
J'ai vu la bande annonce et franchement ça sent le gros plagiat d'Angel (visuellement l'appart ressemble beaucoup, l'intrigue amoureuse à un peu des airs de déjà vu (même si il n'y a pas de tueuse ici) etc...)

Ah vi j'ai lu ça aussi ! Il jouerait le rôle d'un vampire très ancien je crois

Ils ont aussi recasté le rôle de la fille qui tombe amoureuse du héro. C'était Lindsay de The OC à la base (je sais plus son vrai nom )

En tout cas je regarderai ce que ça donne cette série !
