In 2003 there were 69 albums that scanned more than 1 million units. In 2002 there were 65, in 2001 there were 100 and in 2000 there were 88. The big difference though is in the lack of mega sellers at the top. In 2003 the top ten sold 33.5 million, in 2002 the top ten sold 38.8 million, in 2001 the top ten sold 40 million and in 200 the top ten sold 60 million.
